This 36,000 sf Truck Dealership was designed with functionality and economy in mind. Structural systems include load-bearing masonry walls, elevated concrete slabs & steel roof joists and deck. In-floor radiant heating and snow-melt systems are heated using a waste-oil fired boilers to ensure this high-performance building is running comfortably all-winter long. Concrete mezzanines serve as office, break and storage space.
The 12 service bay 20,000 sf Shop ensures the mechanics have plenty of room to work and plenty of utilities to perform. 16’x16’ high-bay overhead doors lead to the Service Bays. A Parts Mezzanine and Parts Storage Room are situated between the Show Room and Service Area.
The Shop floors are in-floor heated by waste-oil fired boilers. Snow and water disappear overnight on vehicles stored inside. By morning even large trucks are dry and ready for service an important design feature in northern Michigan. |
